What would you say is the most important thing in your life? Was your first thought that it is your finances? Or was it your relationship, or your friends or family, or was it your home or possessions, or perhaps your business or occupation?  While all of those are important what is most important is your mental and physical health. It is the first thing you must address and must be a priority because without your health you can’t begin to think about or do anything about anything or anyone else.

I know that you may feel that everyone else comes first, but just imagine if they come first and you’re last what would it be like when you are unable to help them at all.  While taking care of yourself first may sound a little selfish it is being selfless. Now you are able to be in a healthy relationship and you can earn an income to take care of your finances and you can enjoy time with family and friends and you can experience life at its best.

So, while the title is “Stop Rationing Your Health” it really comes down to making your health a priority. Start doing things that will benefit your health. Stop making everyone else and everything else the priority because if you are not mentally, and physically healthy nothing else and no one else can get your attention.

Look at the last time you were ill, what was foremost in your mind then? Were you worried about anything else except getting well? Of course not, because without your health you can’t do anything for yourself or anyone else.

So, Arthur what’s the solution? Here are some tips to take care of yourself every day by:

  • Being your own health advocate and health practitioner.
  • Paying attention to your body because it will tell you when something is amiss
  • Eating properly and not overeating
  • Staying away from fast food and sugary products
  • Getting the right amount of sleep
  • Exercising and stretching
  • Taking supplements
  • Thinking positively (find solutions not problems)
  • Reading, studying and experiencing life to stay mentally sharp.
  • Smile and laugh and don’t take life so seriously

These things will create the “Harmony” and “Happiness” you want in your life because you’re healthy and you’re spending the proper amount of time taking care of yourself. Now you can take care of others and everything else.
