Mental and Physical Health

To be HEALTHY you need to be able to

THINK LOGICALLY, have a POSITIVE OUTLOOK and be PHYSICALLY FIT

and Essential Oils can be a part of that solution

Mental Fitness

A person’s mental fitness indicates their ability to think clearly and to make decisions effectively and efficiently.

A parallel can be drawn with the body’s physical ability to function. Mental fitness is how you think. Whether you think you can, or think you can’t, you are right. Mental fitness allows you to respond to lifes situations, whether that situation comes from an external stimulus, a feeling or a thought.  The result is that you are less likely to cause emotional or relational injury to yourself or someone else.

There are many ways to be mentally fit, and one way is to get the right nutrition (see health tips). The other is to do your best to be positive, be in a good mood. And one way to do that is by diffusing essential oils. It has been shown that aromas can transport us back in time to places that remind us of pleasant times and that’s where essential oils play a role for reducing stress and anxiety, assist with better sleep and even uplift your mood. (see aromatherapy).

Physical Fitness

Using essential oils topically can help you stay fit, remain limber, reduce muscle injuries before and after a workout, improve your hydration, combat fatigue, improve skin tone and help you relax.

Here are a few essential oils to use before your workout that have warming properties:

  • Black Pepper
  • Frankincense
  • Cassia
  • Wintergreen
  • Cinnamon Bark

Here are a few essential oils that you can use post workout that have cooling properties:

  • Basil
  • Blue Tansy
  • Cardamom
  • Peppermint

There are many oils so experiment and choose what’s right for you.
